I was standing in front of the mirror, hating what I saw. I was exhausted, burnt out, and over trained. I spent hours at the gym, carefully monitored what I ate, chasing after what I thought I wanted. And it was then, I realized, I was going after the wrong thing, and going about it the wrong way.
So I made the decision to stop chasing after being skinny and a goal weight, and I shifted my goals to getting stronger. And even though I was so afraid, I took the leap. And that one decision changed everything.
I stopped being so critical of myself, I started having more energy, sleeping better, and enjoying my life again. I knew that I wasn’t alone.
So many women continue to go after their goals in a way that doesn’t serve them. Bombarded with misleading advice and empty promises, they end up spinning their wheels, frustrated, and wondering what they’re doing wrong.
What started as sharing workouts became something much bigger, I knew that there was a much more impactful way to help, and that’s when I went all in on becoming a coach to help women reach their goals in a sustainable way, and that’s when Megan Ashley Fitness and Iron Impact Coaching was born.
